The newly introduced airH2O 800 series, running on the eco-friendly R290 refrigerant, marks a major advancement in Hitachi Cooling & Heating’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
R290 (propane) is a natural refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of just 0,02 in last GIEC report, making it one of the most climate-friendly options currently available. In line with evolving EU F-Gas regulations, this choice reduces environmental impact while maintaining exceptional performance.

With a sleek, modern design, these units are crafted to blend effortlessly into any environment, while providing an ultimate comfort for end-users. A standout feature of the airH2O range is its advanced noise reduction system.
The outdoor units have been meticulously engineered with several enhancements to minimize acoustic impact, including:
- A vibration-absorbing structure to reduce mechanical noise,
- An optimized fan and motor design for smoother, quieter operation,
- And a dedicated silent mode, ideal for nighttime use or sound-sensitive environments.
These elements work together to offer discreet comfort, barely noticeable yet always effective. For instance, the airH2O 600 (8.5 kW) model boasts a remarkablylow acoustic level of just 41 dB(A) at 1m, – making it an ideal solution for installations where noise control is a priority.

The airH2O 800 R290 was engineered with installer and user safety at its core. Its sealed design keeps refrigerant outside the living space, eliminating direct contact or handling. Going far over the minimum regulatory standard, the heat pump boastsup to 12 integrated safety features – including a real-time leak alarm system connected to the mobile app – make it the safest R290 heat pump on the market.
All configuration and commissioning operations are managed from the indoor controller, or even through the smartphone via an exclusive NFC functionality, eliminating the need to open the unit.
